Layar yang mampu menciptakan 16 juta warna ini hanya memiliki kerapatan layar 267 ppi.

Huawei Honor 4X mengandalkan chipset Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 dengan processor Octa-core berkecepatan 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53. Untuk mendukung performanya, Huawei mengikutsertakan RAM sebesar 2 GB RAM dan pengolah grafis GPU Adreno 306. Ponsel cerdas ini berjalan pada sistem operasi Android KitKat 4.4.2. Untuk menyimpan berbagai macam aplikasi dan file, Huawei menyematkan memori internal sebesar 8 GB yang bisa ditambah dengan memori eksternal berupa microSD yang mampu menampung kapasitas hingga 32 GB.
